This privacy policy governs your use of a software applications on a mobile device that was created by NEMA, the National Emergency Management Association.
User Provided Information – To our knowledge, NEMA does not collect user information when our application is downloaded/utilized. It is solely used to provide educational material on EMAC, the Emergency Management Assistance Compact.
Automatically Collected Information – The app stores may collect information on users to identify who downloaded applications and is using certain applications. The data does not use persistent identifier and can not be used to identify any particular user. We do not store any user data from users downloading/accessing the application.
This Application does not collect precise information about the location of your mobile device.

We may disclose User Provided and Automatically Collected Information:

Automatic Data Collection and Advertising
We may work with analytics companies to help us understand how the Application is being used, such as the frequency and duration of usage.
Opt-out of all information collection by uninstalling the Application. You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling the Application. You may use the standard uninstall processes as may be available as part of your mobile device or via the mobile application marketplace or network.
We do not request or collect any in-app purchases.
Data Retention Policy, Managing Your Information
We will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. We will retain Automatically Collected information for up to 24 months and thereafter may store it in aggregate. Please note that some or all of the User Provided Data may be required in order for the Application to function properly.
Children
This application was not developed for children although there is no information in the application that may be unsuitable for children.
Security
We are concerned about safeguarding the confidentiality of your information. We provide physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information we process and maintain. For example, we limit access to this information to authorized employees and contractors who need to know that information in order to operate, develop or improve our Application. We have provided links to documents and content within the EMAC website (www.emacweb.org). When you are on the EMAC website, we will collect user data and use cookies to track user movements. We use Google Analytics to track users.

NEMA does use cookies on a computer/hand held devices. Should a user select a link or download a document from the application, this information will be stored and collected by NEMA using Google Analytics.
